I've changed my attitude to passive income. Now I don't consider it to be irregular. These books persuaded me that everything depends on me. I've learned that there are a lot of ways to earn money passively. I'm busy choosing the most appropriate one for me. I'm happy to be able to make my hobby the source of income. This is what I call a dream job. What is more I can combine it with my principal activity. Warren Buffet is an outstanding businessman and it's great that I had a chance to learn many interesting and inspiring things from his experience.

Jonathan Pine, night manager at a Cairo hotel, helps Arab playboy Freddie Hamid's mistress Madame Sophie photocopy papers linking him to arms mogul Richard Roper and, while he's at it, makes an extra copy to send to a friend in the Secret Service--only to find that the leak has gotten back to Freddie and that Jonathan's belated, guilty devotion to Sophie can't protect her from a fatal beating. Six months later, Jonathan, now working in Geneva, meets Roper in person and, vowing revenge, volunteers for Leonard Burr's fledgling government agency as the inside man who can supply actionable details of Roper's next arms- for-drugs deal. With the help of Whitehall mandarin Rex Goodhew, Burr sets up a plausibly shady dossier for Jonathan and stages the kidnapping of Roper's son so that Jonathan can foil the snatch and get invited aboard Roper's yacht. Le Carre at his best

Le Carre at his best. It's a bit complex when it comes the the list of characters - especially when considering one has multiple identities which keep changing. Outside of a thoughtful twisting, turning plot, I most enjoyed the careful and thorough descriptions of places, scenes and the characters themselves. Having first watched the 6-part BBC mini-series with the same name, I would suggest reading the book first. At the end of the day they are both superbly done, although the updating in the visual representation looses many of key elements I enjoyed in the book.

The old master at it again

Contrary to some commentators, John Le Carre has not lost his ability to tell a wonderfully thought provoking story, even if the Cold War is over. The most brilliant aspect of this gripping story is the delightful detail of the author's brush when describing characters. Particularly significant are the English government characters, and the Secret Service operatives. Not surprised that if had to be made into a six hour series, there is just too much detail to be crammed into a movie-length feature. The twists and turns of the plot keeps the reader enthralled from first to last. Very clever, and very absorbing.

Brilliaant book that is hard to put down. Different from the mini-series but there are similarities there too. Loved it and would recommend it highly for anyone who loves a book about intrigue, action and danger.

All the books in this seriesare outstanding and captivating not only for young readers but adults alike. This series brings us into an in depth understanding of Canadian History. This volume is memorable for it's tale of the struggles of different people groups as they faced the challenges and joys of opening up the Canadian West, specifically Saskatchewan. The only drawback to this book is we wished it was longer. The stories are fascinating. The historical aspects of this book gave our family a clearer understanding of the people in modern day Saskatchewan. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READING!

Peggy A. Ertmer is Professor of Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University. High Quality Cases

I'm using this text for a class on Instructional Design. Reading this has been one of my favorite parts of the class. The cases are very engaging and challenging, and each case seems to highlight a different issue that Instructional Designers will face. There are approximately 30 cases in the book, and none of them show the 'solution,' which makes this extra effective as tool for discussion. I don't know, however, how engaging this text may be for someone reading it on its own, it's not really set up to read case after case after case, but better as the sort of book where you read one case, reflex for a while, and return to read the next case. As such, the book isn't linear, you can jump around at will and gain just as much from it.

A beautiful photo book

This book is absolutely incredible. I think it has text, but I can't remember - I always get distracted by the amazing photographs. I got this book for my frog obsessed son, but it would be an amazing gift for photography buffs, artists, and animal lovers alike.

This is a huge book with page after page of full color photos of every kind of frog you can imagine. I can not say enough about how beautiful this book is. Well worth the price for anyone with even a slight interest in the subject.

Hooked from the Beginning

This was the first book I've read by Alexis Alvarez and it won't be my last! Return was the story of a budding novelist who modeled a character in her book after her real life crush. Ava never imagines that her book will become a hit, or that Damian, the man in question, will become aware of what she did.

Suddenly, Ava's crush, the sexy gym owner Damian, is very interested in her, but not for the reasons she had hoped. Damian proposes an offer that Ava finds hard to refuse, even though it's based on sex and nothing else, she'll take what she can get.

Ms. Alvarez has an amazing sense of humor, I found myself laughing out loud even during some more emotional parts of the book. Return is a roller coaster ride of emotions. I was hooked from the beginning and I saw it through to Ava's happy ending. If you like great writing and hot sex then you should definitely read this one!! Not to be missed!

Hot read!

I suppose one might say that I'm hardly an objective reviewer, since I worked on copy-editing this book! However, I can honestly say that "work" is not how I would primarily describe my involvement with "Return." Why? Because I enjoyed it far too much.

No spoilers, I promise. The story was original and clever, and the characters were well developed and wonderfully real -- flaws, tempers, and all. Ava may have been the bottom in this BDSM relationship, but she was no pushover. She knew what she wanted (and what she didn't want), and wasn't afraid to express herself. Damián was hot and sexy and powerful, but he, too, was human and tempered his dominance with caring and compassion. I could practically feel the sparks between these two as I read along, and was rooting for both of them from the start.

If you enjoy your romance stories with hot and likable couples, and you like your sex with a bit (or more than a bit) of kink, then "Return" is for you. If everything I proofread/copy-edited were this delicious, I'd have the best job on the planet.

About the Author

Elizabeth Cowne has been actively involved in developing and delivering SENCo training for 30 years, largely associated with the outreach courses at the Institute of Education. She was the sole author of the first five editions of the SENCo handbooks and is author of many other publications.

Carol Frankl is Managing Director of the Southover Partnership, an independent special school and support service. She is also a tutor on the National Award for SEN Co-ordination course. Carol regularly contributes to SEN publications.

Liz Gerschel has been training SENCos, teachers, teaching assistants and governors for more than 30 years. Liz helped to develop, and currently teaches, the NASENCO course for the Institute of Education at University College London. She was a Learning Difficulties Outreach Tutor at the University of Birmingham for many years and has published on SEN, governance and equalities.
